Pacesetter Open set

BEAVERCREEK— Country Club of the North will once again play host to the 35th Pacesetter Open, Monday, June 26. The Pacesetter is a major fundraiser for the Wright State Athletic Department. All proceeds go to support Wright State’s student-athletes.

The day will include breakfast, a four-player golf scramble, and lunch served in the clubhouse afterward. Registration and warm-up will begin at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost for a foursome includes greens fee, cart, a complimentary gift, and food and beverage throughout the day. There are also sponsorship opportunities available.

Fall basketball league

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek High School girls basketball program will be hosting its 18th annual girls basketball fall league. The games will be played on Sunday afternoons Sept. 10 through Oct. 22. All teams will play a total of seven games on five Sundays with no games on Sept. 17-24.

The league will be a total of 12 high school teams ninth through twelfth grade. There will be 8-10 girls per team, with only two players from each school on the same team. Space is limited to 120 players and restricted based on OHSAA rules. If interested email: [email protected] or www.beavercreekathletics.com.

Boat club offering summer camps

DAYTON — The Dayton Boat Club will be holding two Introduction to Rowing Camps this summer for youth in Grades 7-12. Each camp will consist of eight two-hour training sessions. No experience necessary. All sessions are held at the Dayton Boat Club Boathouse located on East River Road near Moraine. Session 1 will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 19 – July 1 and Session 2 — July 17 – July 29.

Buddies program returns

DAYTON — Have you ever wanted to run onto Fifth Third Field alongside the Dayton Dragons? Visit your local Kroger store to sign up for a chance to be a Baseball Buddy. Kids (ages 7-13) who are randomly selected as winners. To enter, look for the display at your local Kroger store at the Customer Service Desk.

The Kroger Baseball Buddies experience includes: Hanging out in the dugout during pre-game to meet the Dragons players; Getting autographs and photos with the Dragons team; Being introduced over the PA like a player; Running out on the field with the team before that day’s game. Kroger Baseball Buddies will also receive several gifts including: A replica Dragons jersey, Dragons baseball hat, Drawstring backpack, Dragons pen and baseball to be autographed. One baseball buddy will win a free Fun Day at Fifth Third Field with 20 of their friends and Dragons players.
