BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee cordially will host its formal induction ceremony of the 18th and 19th Class of 2017 Athletic Hall of Fame members Friday, Sept. 8.

The BHS Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2000 and now consists of 163 members. The program activities start at 4:45 p.m. in the BHS Common area. At 5 p.m., the inductees and guests will share in a no cost buffet dinner. The formal ceremony will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the BHS Auditorium.

Four of the inductees (Class 19th) will be introduced at Halftime of the Beavercreek vs. Fairborn Football game. This event will be emceed by BHS Hall of Fame members Dr. David Stewart and Dr. Roger Coy.

The new inductees are as follows: Class 18: Mike Daubenmire BHS class of 1960, Ray Loper BHS Class of 1964, Judy Peele Assistant Athletic Director, Steve Pittman BHS Class of 1985, Dave Siegfried Class of 1954 and Ashley Upton BHS Class of 2005. Class 19: Kelly Blumenschein Coughlin BHS Class of 2007, Dr. Ron Roddy BHS Class of 1979, Aili Volmer Gallardo BHS Class of 1995 and Rick Woolf BHS Baseball Coach 1989 – 2009.

Hall of Fame 2017 Inductees

Kelly Blumenschein Coughlin – Class of 2007, soccer, four varsity letters, NCSA & Adidas HS All American – 2006, GWOC Central & Area Player of the Year – 2006, 1st Team All State – 2006, Team League Champs four Consecutive years, District, Regional & State Achievement 2003 – 2006.

Dr. Ron Roddy – Class of 1979, baseball, football, golf, four varsity letters, 1st Team State, District and League – 1979, State & Miami Valley All Star Teams – 1979, Team MVP and multi-category leader – 1979, Established record for stolen bases – 24.

Aili Volmer Gallardo – Class of 1995, soccer, four varsity letters, 1994 WOL Player of the Year, Second Team All-State 1994, 3 Time 1st Team WOL & All Dayton South, 26 Career Goals as Mid fielder.

Rick Woolf – 1989 –2009 Baseball Coach, 404 Career Wins, four Time Area & League Coach of the Year, 1990 WOL Champions, 2 Time District Champions, 3x Runner Ups, Coached 11 Division 1 & 2 MLB Players, 4 Time most Influential Teacher Award.

Mike Daubenmire – Class of 1960, basketball, golf and football, 11 varsity letters, Basketball – All league & Area honors, Leading scorer & team captain, Golf – 3x Runner-up league medalist honors, Played on undefeated, 8-0-2 1958 football team.

Ray Loper – Class of 1964, football, wrestling, baseball, seven varsity letters, Football – State, League & Area honors, Played on undefeated, 9-0-1, team in 1963, Wrestling – All area honors Senior year, 1st Wrestler @ BHS to advance to State, Baseball – League Champions, 1964.

Dave Siegfried – Class of 1954, football, baseball and basketball, 11 varsity letters, Football – All League honors Sr. year, Baseball – State Championship Teams in, 1952 & 1953, Basketball teams were Greene County Champions in 1952, 53 & 54.

Ashley Upton – Class of 2005, soccer, four varsity letters, 2 time All State, District & Area Honors, GWOC & Dayton Dist. Player of the Year, Award – 2003 Team leader during dominant era: 4 league championships, 3x district champs and participation at state championship – 2004, 72 Career Goals & 18 Assists.

Steve Pittman – Class of 1985, basketball, two varsity letters, 2x All WOL Honors – 1984 & 1985, All Area & District Honors – 1985, AP & UPI State Honors – 1985, Adidas & McDonalds All American – 1985, Team MVP & Captain – 1985.

Judy Peele – AAD &SC 1973-2000 – Assistant Athletic Director, Helped transition all Girls programs to competitive, levels over a 27 year period, Teams recorded 2 State, 8 Regional, 35 District & 42 League titles, Participated in Rhea Burick award selection process for 10 years.
