Successful fundraiser sends principal to the roof

For the News-Current

BEAVERCREEK –Principal Joell Mangan spent the entire night of Sept. 24 on the roof of Fairbrook Elementary School. This rooftop reward comes after her students successfully met and exceeded goals for the school’s largest yearly fundraiser.

The Fairbrook Foxtrot is a yearly fundraiser administered by the school’s PTO to benefit students of Fairbrook Elementary School. After students secure financial donations, they will have the opportunity to complete a half-mile obstacle course held on school grounds.

Mangan promised students she would spend a night on the school’s roof if they met the $15,000 goal this year. The students of Fairbrook Elementary School went above and beyond the set goal and now it’s time for their principal, along with the school mascot, Foxy, to spent an evening on the roof.
