DAYTON — Carroll High School Freedom Players are going back to one of America’s favorite families. “The Addams Family” features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

Carroll’s production stars seniors Fred Blackwell and Savannah Sheets as Gomez and Morticia. Junior, Maddie Galiardo is Wednesday and sophomore, Thomas Lehmenkuler is her brother, Pugsley. Lucas, the boyfriend, is played by Antonio Concha while moon-loving Festor is played by senior Luke Danis.

The Student Directors are Elise Triplett, Kayla Pierce, Mariana Sorrell and Sadie Rondeau. Stage Managers are Hannah Barnes, Sarah Connair, and Edward Wolff. Aurielle Barber, Emma Wright and Khristina Dare are the Costume Managers. Makeup is created by Isabella Scarpelli. The cast and crew consist of over 60 Carroll students in grades 9 through 12.

The Carroll Freedom Players are directed by Mrs. Toni Weitz and Miss Diane Walters. Stage Director is Mr. Jack Glaser.
