BEAVERCREEK — City Council approved site plans for a new multi-tenant retail building on one of the city’s busiest corners Monday night.

According to city documents, the building would be a 7,440-square-foot multi-tenant facility near the intersection of North Fairfield Road and Dayton Xenia Road. The building, which is anticipated to have four leasable tenant spaces, would be constructed on about 1 acre of currently vacant land near the southwest corner of the intersection, according to city documents.

Renderings shown to City Council Monday night indicated that the facility would be integrated into the clock area already at that corner.

The site is currently vacant, as is property adjacent to the site. A restaurant, two houses and outbuildings at the site were recently demolished at the property, making way for the retail facility, as well as a new AAA auto service location.

A representative of Synergy and Mills Development, which is developing the retail facility, declined to comment on the project.
