Egbe Omo Yoruba awards two scholarships

BEAVERCREEK – The Egbe Omo Yoruba of Greater Miami Valley presented two scholarship awards of $500s each to two outstanding Beavercreek High School graduating seniors on May 18 at the High School 2015 Scholarship Award Ceremony.

The awards were presented by the President of the organization, Dr. Bamidele Apapa accompanied by the secretary, Iswat Badiru. The recipients of the awards are Asia Adomanis, who will be attending Ohio State University and Tristan Lyle, who will be attending Wright State University. Also present at the award ceremony were some members of the Organization: Elizabeth Adegbile, treasurer.

Dr. Abayomi Ajayi-Majebi, Dr. Daniel Iselaiye, Dr. Adedayo Odunsi, Rev. Ayo Ogunduyile, and Dr. Dotun Patrick Sobande. The scholarship committee are: Dr. Gabriel Omolewu (Chairman), Dr. Funmi Adegbile, Dr. Daniel Iselaiye, Dr. Adedayo Odunsi, and Dr. Dotun Patrick Sobande. The checks for $500 for each recipient were mailed to their universities.
