Community library announces programs

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library is planning a variety of programs for people of all ages in November. The library is located at 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Some programs require registration for more information or to register call 937-352-4001.

Preschool Story Time for ages 4-5, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Mondays, Nov. 12, 19, 26. Mr. Tim for stories and goofy fun.

NaNoWriMo Drop In for adults, 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 19, 26. November is National Novel Writing Month. Aspiring writers may drop in to work on their projects.

Beavercreek Book Discussion: The Girls of Atomic City for adults, 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13. Join our fun and engaging book club. Registration required.

Baby Story Time for ages 6-23 months with adult, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 13, 20, 27. Miss Catherine stories.

Tuesday Tech Tips for adults, 12-2 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 13, 27, at the Beavercreek Senior Center, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road. Enjoy one-on-one instruction with Beavercreek Community librarians. Drop in for basic computer help with things like email, searching the Internet, and using social media. Bring your laptop, phone, or tablet, and get your tech questions answered.

Toddler Story Time for ages 2-3 with adult, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 21, 28. Miss Gail stories and more.

De-Stress by Design for grades 2-5, 4:45-5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14. Enjoy an hour of pampering and relaxation tips for busy elementary school students. Registration required.

Homeschool Library for ages 5-8, 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15. Miss Julie has a science lesson or a history lesson, and then hair-raising experiments or investigations. Registration required.

Calling All Yarn Crafters for adults, 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 15, 29. Chat while your fingers bring your design to life. Bring their own project and supplies and hang out with other yarn lovers.

Millennial Meet-Up Anime Club for adults, 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15. Help decide what this still-developing club will watch, read, listen to, and discuss. Registration required.

Turkey Day Stories and Craft for ages 3-6, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16. Time for a few turkey tales and a craft or two to celebrate autumn’s most delicious holiday. Registration required.

Tween Gaming and Pizza for grades 3-6, 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. Games and pizza. Registration required.

Paws to Read for ages 3-12 with adult, 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 17. Read to our four-footed furry friends from the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association.

Bi-Weekly Readers for ages 4-7, 1-2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19. Register in person and pick up a copy of the Early Reader we’ll be reading together. Registration required.

Beavercreek Matters for adults, 3:30-5:30p.m. Monday, Nov. 19. Want to become more informed about decisions impacting Beavercreek, join former mayor and city councilman Brian Jarvis to discuss topics of local interest.

Holiday Cards with Marla for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28. Create six holiday cards with expert card-crafter Marla Hartzell. Registration required.
