StoryWalk Kick-Off Celebration, 7-9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 at Dominick Lofino Park,640 Grange Hall Road. There will be a free movie, inflatables, life-sized games, food, the Library’s book bike, and a short opening ceremony for our StoryWalk.

Teen Gaming and Pizza for grades 6-12, 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11. Games and pizza. Registration required.

Beavercreek Community Library’s Perseid Meteor Shower for adults, 9-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at Victory Park Shelter, 2260 Dayton-Xenia Road. Join Patrick Craig at Victory Park for a fun evening watching meteors. In case of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled. Registration required.

Back to School﹘Washi Tape Fun for grades 3-5, 1-2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13. Join staff to decorate composition notebooks, pencils, and other school supplies to start the year off in style. Registration required.

Tying Creative Head Scarves for adults, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13. Learn creative ways to tie head scarves. Bring a stand-alone mirror and 1 or 2 colorful scarves at least 72” long. Cotton or knit works best. Registration required.

Beavercreek Book Discussion: The Zookeeper’s Wife for adults, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14. Join a fun and engaging book club. Registration required.

Beavercreek Community Library’s Tuesday Tech Tips for adults, 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Beavercreek Senior Center,3868 Dayton-Xenia Road. Members of the Senior Center may drop in from noon to 2 p.m. for basic computer help with things like email, searching the Internet, and using social media.

Grow Your Business with SCORE for adults, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15. Join Dayton’s SCORE instructor Art Helmstetter for this workshop designed for existing business owners and executives who want to compete aggressively and grow an already successful business. Registration required.
